Choosing God

{August 19, 2007}   Gothica

We all know that goths exists. Thats a fact. We know that the media portrays a goth as a dark, evil person… But thats only one side of the story.

Recently, on bluepulse (something like MXit), i have made two gothic friends… They call themselves Christian goths… They both love the Lord in all asspects.

Being the curious person that I am, I started asking them questions about being goth.

Things I found:
1. Goth is a culture, not a religion
2. There are many different types of goth (this post is just an introduction, I still have many things to research and questions to ask)
3. Goths aren’t about being dark and silent, their all about the deep things in life, romance etc.
4. Goths are people, just with their own lifestyles according to their religion.

The media are correct on some aspects of being goth. But my new friends made we wonder why the media portrays only the dark side of goth. From what I’ve seen in movies, I see nothing in them.

Plaese excuse my terminology for this post. I’m still very confused on gothica. And know absolutely nothing. This is just my opinion based on new friends. I will be posting more about it as I learn more.

In the mean time you can visit www.christiangot.com for more info.

Whats your opinion about goths? If you have anymore info, let me know. Please leave your thoughts, just remember that goths are people too, just like you and me. So be nice.

{August 12, 2007}   Why….

I’m dying inside
I’m reaching out
pull back and then I hide

I’ve been wrong
I’ve been up and down
I haven’t been Your child

Show me what to do
Let me know that I’ll pull through
I need you, o Lord, o God
Help me pull through

I stand before You.
Stripped of everything
I’m naked in your presence
tears flowing out of my broken soul

I know where You are
I know what to say,
yet the dissappointment in your eyes
tear me to shreds

Why did I do it Lord?
Why did I expose my life
my body, to one
who doesn’t give a damn?

Why Lord?
Why?

:-(
